The story behind BitcoinVet.ai

I grew up in Churchville-Chili, New York, roaming the fields with an Irish Setter. One snowy night my dad and I found an old Labrador half-frozen in the snow. A vet brought him back. A year later I lost my own dog to a rare kidney cancer. Those two things set the course.

I left New York for Texas A&M, earned the Dean's Award for Biomedical Science through undergrad, and graduated from veterinary school cum laude in 2000. My first job was VCA Spring Branch in Houston. I stayed seven years and became medical director young enough that the job taught hospital mechanics the hard way.

I wanted a practice where I set the standard. In August 2007 I bought Hearthstone, a Cypress clinic open since 1982. I still see every patient myself. At home my wife Amanda and I have two daughters and a house of rescues — including a clinic-doorstep cat named Crypto, which should tell you how this other interest leaked into the waiting room.

BitcoinVet.ai is not a second clinic. It is where I write down 26 years of GP work, a stubborn interest in sound money, and the software I actually ship: discharges, a one-click note into Shepherd, a lobby gallery, a lab interpreter.
