Intake that is not a blank text box
A concept: collect history before the doctor walks in. Do not let the software tell the owner what is wrong.
This one is not shipped. It is a design I keep coming back to. Owners tell the story three times. The timeline is mush. The toxin sits in sentence seven. The doctor walks in cold.
A chat that asks the boring questions — when did it start, eating, meds, diet — and then prints one page for the doctor would save the first ten minutes. If it spots open-mouth breathing, pale gums, bloated large-breed, or a lily, it should yell, not diagnose.
Lines it must not cross
- No “your dog probably has pancreatitis.” Structure only.
- A person reads the summary before any medical decision.
- Search our protocols, not WebMD. See searching your own SOPs.
- Label the page as a draft so nobody files it as gospel.
If we ever build it, we would start with one complaint (vomiting) on paper, then software. Not a grand platform. Discharges are further along: that page.
